It’s worn out a bit for me since then as it’s not exactly substantive, but it’s still a good basic bop. Melancholic dancefloor is my favorite groove! The girls harmonies are top notch here and the boys perfectly blend together on this one. Fucking love this one! I could listen to this over and over and over again all day long.

I adore the “am I a bad boy maybe, am I a sad boy let’s see” section.I imagine this would explode in a gay bar (11): This might be the song that solidified me as an Alcazar fan. What a song, (9.5): Cannot fault this too much, lovely all the way Ace (7.2): ‘Tragedy’ (10): That is such an Ace of Base chorus. It’s just not memorable or dramatic enough for me, so it falls flat and I would have voted for ‘15 Minuter’ (10): “Don’t need no babysitter / No, I am not that bitter” is such a great line. The intro is seriously (10): The key changes, the drama, the banjo!!! Truly pop Shoebox (5): Oh look it’s my least favourite of their Melodifestivalen entries. Doesn’t quite fit with the rest of the album, but still (10): I prefer Sarah Dawn Finer’s version if I’m being completely honest, but this is still nothing less than a 10. “Not A Sinner Nor A Saint” later became the group’s first ever #1 single in (10): My favourite of their Eurovision attempts. Ha!Suffer.gifĪftonbladet called Magnus and Andreas “Sweden’s answer to Siegfried and Roy”! Fortunately nobody was mauled by a tiger. On the other hand, Alcazar received 62 points from the jury and earned 110 points in the televote, leading them to the bronze medal. However, in the final itself, Barbados only received 7 points from the jury and no televote points, ending in 10th out of 10th place.

Alcazar had to advance to the final via the Viewers’ Choice round, whereas Barbados qualified directly. For those of you keeping track of Swedish band-hopping, Barbados also appeared in Melodifestivalen 2003 for the first time since Magnus left to join Alcazar.
